Donald Ray Coleman, Sr.

Funeral service for Mr. Donald Ray Coleman, Sr. will be at 10 am Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Endris officiating.  Burial will follow at Davis Springs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Donald, 78 years of age and a resident of Fair View Alpha, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019, at his residence with his family by his side.  He was born on May 24, 1940, to Jack and Ola Mae Coleman.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Marie Coleman, a son, Stephen Coleman, and his parents.  He was the founder of Coleman’s Transmission in Natchitoches. He and his wife Gladys owned and operated their family business until retirement. He was an excellent provider for his family and a very hard worker his entire life and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Beth Dyer, Patricia Mir, and Diannia Coleman; sons, Donald Coleman, Jr., Ricky Dyer, Kelly Coleman, and Shaun Coleman; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Kelly Coleman, Shaun Coleman, Spencer Coleman, Donald Coleman, III, James Kuhleman, and Cody Gentry.  Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Waters, Cleveland Bynog, and Raymond Gourdon.
