Dottie Jean Breedlove

Dottie Jean Breedlove, 73 years of age and a resident of Provencal passed away April 15, 2020, in Natchitoches. She was born on February 4, 1947, to Leroy and Vida (Stanley) Brister in Florien, LA. She was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a compassionate lady and loved to take care of everyone’s needs, even if it meant she sacrificed her own needs. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Breedlove; children, Darrell Breedlove and wife Dana, Theresa Thompson and husband Jimmy, Yvonne Broadway and husband Jason, and Patricia Givens and husband Joe; and a brother, Robert Brister. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Joe Givens, Jimmy Thompson, Jason Broadway, Cody Hall, Jeremy Breedlove, and Josh Caldwell. Due to gathering restrictions placed on everyone during this time, a graveside service to honor her life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood, LA with Pastor Paul Grace officiating.
