Douglas Lee Honeycutt

Graveside services for Mr. Douglas Honeycutt will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood, LA.

Douglas, 91 years of age, passed away on June 20, 2023.  He was born on September 15, 1931 to Leo and Bessie Honeycutt in Vowells Mill, LA.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Bobbie Jean Honeycutt; and his brothers, Wilburn Honeycutt, Donnelle Honeycutt and Sherman Honeycutt.

Douglas loved music and especially singing with his family and friends.  A long-time member at Coldwater Baptist Church, he enjoyed fellowship with his church family.  In his spare time, he liked to deer hunt, garden, and spending time with his family.  He is best remembered for selling watermelons and pomegranate trees every year.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by two sons, Gregory Honeycutt and Kevin Honeycutt and his wife, Tabatha; daughter, Deborah Skinner; grandchildren, Lacey Sanders and her husband Michael, Steven Skinner and his wife Callie, and Abbie Gandy; and great-grandchildren, Hayden Harris, Rayleigh Warren, and Brantley Skinner.
