On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, Dwayne Weaver, loving husband, and father of two went to be with the Lord at 48 years of age. Dwayne was born on January 30, 1971, in Coushatta, LA to Ralph Weaver and Varina Ferguson. He was raised in Fairview Alpha and graduated from Campti High School in 1989. He worked at Tony’s Body Shop for almost 30 years. On August 22, 2008, he married Cyndi Vascocu. Dwayne could always be relied on to come to the rescue when mechanical or housing issues arose. He had a generous heart for helping others in need. He loved his family and friends, especially his sidekick, Macy. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Dwayne was preceded in death by his grandparents Dewey and Mary Carter, O. B. Weaver and Helen Sledge Weaver Ross. He is survived by his wife Cyndi, two children Chase and Sumer Weaver; father, Ralph, and wife Trisha Weaver, mother Varina and husband Kevan Ferguson; brother Raymond Weaver and wife Jennifer; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was especially loved by his “adopted” parents, Tony and Charlotte Swords. Those honored to be pallbearers are Clarence Vanhook, Shane Miller, Brian Swords, Heath Conley, John Morris, and Perry Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Swords, Daniel Sweeney, and Jonathan Sweeney. A service to honor the life of Dwayne Weaver will be Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 2 P.M. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery, in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 8, 2019, from 5 P.M. – 8 P.M. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
