Enoch Leslie “E.L.” Moss Jr, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday December 10th in Baton Rouge, La. at the age of 86. E.L. was born in and spent most of his life in Provencal, La. He attended Provencal Elementary, Natchitoches High School and Northwestern State University where he received an undergraduate degree in mathematics and Masters of Education. While he was in high school, he met Glenda Martin who became his high school sweetheart. After graduation he served in the navy as an electrician. E.L. worked in Education for 20 years first as a teacher and later as a principal. After retirement from education, he lived a full life serving his community and family. E.L. served as a Natchitoches Parish Deputy Sheriff, Natchitoches Parish School Board member, Provencal mayor and Ward Three Constable. He had a love for the outdoors and Provencal, specifically Trudeau bottom, where he raised cattle, border collies, horses and all types of farm animals. E.L. and the love of his life Glenda were married for 65 years. They had two children Enoch Leslie “Tracy“ Moss III and Mitzi René Moss. E.L. was preceded in death by his parents Enoch Leslie Moss Sr. and Opal Dale Moss, son Enoch Leslie “Tracy” Moss III and grandson Rusty Alan Moss. He is survived by his wife Glenda, daughter Mitzi Moss Miller and husband John M. Miller, daughter in law Robbie Moss, granddaughter-in-law Jessica Moss, grandchildren Paige Miller Aucoin and husband Danny Aucoin, Andrew M. Miller and wife Anna, Trenton S. Miller and wife Hailee. 8 great grandchildren, Macie and Landrie Moss, Cruz, Harper and Adeline Aucoin, and Rose, Andrew and Grace Miller. Visitation will be held at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches La, on Tuesday December 13th from 6pm to 8pm with sharing and testimony at 7. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Provencal on Wednesday December 14th with visitation at 10AM and services at 11AM. Burial will follow at Old Provencal Cemetery.
