Edward Allen Corder, Sr.

A service to honor Edward Allen Corder, Sr., will be at 11 am Monday, February 5, 2018 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Butch Rogers and Bro. Josh Currie officiating.  Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time on Monday the 5th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Edward Allen Corder, Sr., 82 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away peacefully on Friday February 2, 2018, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.  Ed was born February 19, 1935, in Somerset, Kentucky; he was the son of the late James Amos and Gertrude Stephens Corder.  He owned and operated a dry cleaning business in Natchitoches for many years.  He was very dedicated to providing for his family.  A long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church, he enjoyed fellowship with his church family.  He will be missed but we take comfort in knowing one day we will be re-united with him in heaven. Survivors include his wife, Edith Carol Hodge Corder, whom he married October 22, 1955, 3 sons, Edward Allen Corder, Jr., Vernon Craig Corder (Ann), Stuart Lee Corder (Allyson), 4 grandchildren, Andrew Gerard Corder, Catherine Therese Corder, Elizabeth Claire Corder, and Matthew Lee Corder, and 1 great-grandson, Leland Scott Corder. Preceded in death by Marie Corder Jones, sister, James Amos Corder, Jr., brother, and Mildred Eleanor Corder Gregory, sister.
