Edward Carter Moore

Funeral services for Edward Carter Moore will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Father Tommy Paul officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10:30. 

Carter was born on September 19, 1940 in Robeline, LA to Edward Moore and Elvina Jordan Moore. He passed away in Natchitoches at the age of 83 in Natchitoches.

Carter’s first love was God, whom he depended on. He was a caregiver to his parents until their death and was very giving to his three nephews, Terry, Larry Smith, and Dan Patrick Moore. Carter was a man with a great memory. Having worked for the City of Natchitoches for 40 years as a draftsman, he knew where the water lines in Natchitoches were and the size without a blueprint before him. He was also very talented in leather and bead work.

Carter is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Sidney Moore; his sister, Elouise Moore Gammel; two of his nephews, Terry and Larry Smith. He is survived by one nephew, Dan Patrick Moore and his first cousin, Glenn Waters; and his CNA Jennifer at the Courtyard.
