Essie Mae Harris

Essie Mae Harris, passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on November 22, 1944, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Essie was a devoted Catholic and a long-time parishioner at St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she found solace and community throughout her life.

Essie was known for her loving spirit, exemplified in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cared deeply for her family, nurturing bonds that created a legacy of love and support. Her warmth and compassion were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends are invited to a visitation on March 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, located at 911 5th St, Natchitoches, LA. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.  She will be laid to rest at the St. Augustine Catholic Church Mausoleum following the Mass. Family and friends are invited to a repast after the committal service at the St. Anthony Church Hall.

Though Essie will be dearly missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her unwavering devotion to her faith and her family will serve as an enduring testament to a life well-lived.
