Eva Lee Antilley Beasley, age 93, of Lotus, Louisiana, passed away Sunday morning, December 20, 2020. Eva Lee was born September 25, 1927 in Montrose, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Dave P. Antilley and Sallie Jones Antilley. She is survived by five daughters, Barbara Smith Walker and husband Zane Walker of Catuna, LA, Vonell Beasley Parker of Lotus, LA, Francine Beasley Kay of Natchitoches, LA, Kerry Beasley Broussard of Provencal, LA and Myra Beasley McGee and husband Rick McGee of Natchitoches, LA, and one son, Henry Beasley and wife Sandra Foshee Beasley of Lotus, LA. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Carmen Beasley; step-son Clarence Howard Beasley; daughter Judy Smith Walker and step-daughter Sallie Beasley Broadway ; sons-in-law, Kent Kay, William “Buddy” Parker and Elton Broadway; daughter-in-law, Ann Beasley; four grandchildren, Miranda Kay, Kelcie Paige Vercher and Audrey and Garrett Beasley; three sisters and three brothers. Eva Lee lived her life as a devoted Wife, Mother, Aunt, Sister and Grandmother. She was loving, kind, caring and self-less to a fault. Whomever entered her home was considered family. She was known as Mrs. Beasley, Mama, Aunt Eva, Sister but the grands lovingly called her MawMaw as did any friends that were tagging along. She was everybody’s MawMaw and that is just the way she wanted it to be. Everyone had a seat at the table at MawMaw’s house. She showed her love through every meal she cooked, every baby she rocked, every log she would place in that old wood heater to keep her babies warm & every “MawMaw loves you” whispered as she would give one of those hugs that only MawMaw could give. You left MawMaw’ s house knowing you were loved as she stood at the door waving until you drove out of sight. She enjoyed her canning and vegetable gardening and never met a flower she did not love. She had a green thumb like her Mother before her. She was a member of the Provencal United Methodist Church and had a kind, gentle Christian spirit. You could hear her hum and sing the old hymns as she swept and mopped her floors or folded the many loads of laundry. She will be missed dearly by all her loved ones, but the love she gave, remains with us all, in the special place she holds in each and every heart. A service to honor the life of Mrs. Eva Lee Antilley Beasley will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Blanchard St-Denis Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Rodney Boswell.
