Gayle Scott Krouse, a native of Natchitoches, known as “Granny” to all that loved her, passed away on May 12, 2024. She was born on September 30, 1941, in Natchitoches to Oscar Scott and Virginia (Dare) Scott
Gayle was known for her strong opinions but also for having the biggest heart. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Throughout her life, she made significant contributions alongside her husband, Clifford, as the co-owner of Krouse Farms and Krouse Trucking.
She is survived by her daughters Kelly Krouse, Kristi Salard and husband Joey, Kara Fowler and husband Blake, and Angela Nichols and husband Truman; brother Robert Scott and wife Dorothy "Dot", as well as grandchildren Justin Krouse and wife Sydney, Haley Graves and husband Blake, McKenzie Kay, Mason Kay, Hunter Salard, Scott Fowler, and Preston Fowler, great-grandchildren Kinsley Graves and Easton Graves and an expected great-grandchild Allison Salard.
Gayle was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Krouse; and her parents Oscar and Virginia Scott.
A graveside service to honor and remember Gayle will be held at 2:30 pm on May 15, 2024, at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches with Father Louis Sklar officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 am until 2:00 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Justin Krouse, Mason Kay, Blake Graves, Hunter Salard, Scott Fowler and Preston Fowler. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Stewart, Chris Hernandez, Blake Fowler and Anthony Moore.
