George Bryan Cobb

June 7, 1951 — April 3, 2024

George Bryan Cobb, age 72, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. The service, a celebration of George's life, will immediately follow. The burial will take place at the Holy Innocence Cemetery in Lake Village, Arkansas, on Thursday April 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Cobb was born in Tallulah, LA, on June 7, 1951, to Harry Cobb and Grace Hogan Burchfield.

Bryan dedicated many years to his job at International Paper, Mansfield Mill, where he retired after 37 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting every chance he could get. Bryan's dedication extended beyond his interests. He generously shared his talents with the Y-HEC program, a youth development and education program that promotes wildlife conservation and outdoor skills in Desoto Parish. He also contributed to the Desoto Parish 4-H, a youth organization that empowers young people with leadership skills through various activities. One of the greatest joys in Bryan’s life was spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Cobb, and his parents, Sherrill and Grace Burchfield and Harry Cobb.

He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Joyce Cobb; his son, Daniel (Danielle); two grandchildren, Emma Grace and John Bryan; his sister, Beatrice Pylate (Danny), niece Julian Pylate; sister-in-law Judy Chadick; and numerous cousins. 

Honorary Pallbearers include Benny Bell, Mark Primos, David Hogan, Charlie Hogan, Andy Cedars, and Nyle Parchim.
