Houston Allen Wall

Houston Allen Wall was born on September 7, 1939 and left his earthly home on May 8, 2023 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lela Wall; father, Lee H. Wall; son, Kirk Allen Wall; grandson, Justin Ryan Fredieu; as well as three sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Bettye Ferrier Wall, of Montgomery, LA; step son, David L. Fletcher (Shari) of Dry Prong, LA; daughters, Anita Wall Fredieu of Natchitoches, LA, Gayla Crooks (Ray) of Nantachie, LA, and Sonya M. Durio (Paul) of Hargis, LA; one brother, Harmon Wall (Betty) of Belle Chase, LA; grandchildren, Ashley Fredieu, Kayla Lasyone, Hannah Carter, Eric Fredieu, Ethan Oglesby, Dustin Durio, Jacob Durio and Taylor Durio; 11 great-grandchildren Kaylee, Logan, Rylee, Josie, Cara, Maci, Rensey, Paisley, Ella, Ellie Mae and Emma; as well as a grand-dog, Cleopatra.

Houston was a member of the Verda Church of Christ, Verda, LA. He lived his life for God, his family and his friends. He always looked for the good in eveyone he met. He started working at a young age and worked hard all his life. He put his heart and soul in everything he did. He was an avid hunter and fisherman for many years. He also enjoyed working in his shop restoring trunks for his family.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Verda Church of Christ located at 2850 LA Hwy 122, Verda, LA 71404. Services will be led by his Brother-in-love, Randall Coolman, of Sherman, TX.
