A service to honor the life of Mr. Ira Cochran, Jr. will be held at 2 pm Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Crossroads Baptist Church in Marthaville, LA. Burial will follow at Marthaville Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:00am-12: 00 pm at Crossroads Baptist Church located at 111 Crossroads Church Rd Marthaville, LA. Ira Cochran, Jr., 82 years of age and a resident of Marthaville, LA, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, in Natchitoches. He was born to Ira J. Cochran, Sr. and Ethel Rivers Cochran Peacock on November 24, 1936. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Harold Peacock, and two sisters, Ima Jean Rawls and Gaylynn Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Amy Smith Cochran, children, Tony D. Cochran and wife Shirley, Gregory A. Cochran and wife Deborah, and Cheryl Cochran Rodriguez and husband Rick, grandchildren, Kristin Tolar, Eric Cochran, Laura Barlow, Emily Cochran, Jill Jamal-Hanjani, Tatum Powell, Joseph Cochran, Anissa Hernandez, Sara Rodriguez, and U.S. Army Specialist, Alexander Rodriguez, as well as twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
