James Clyde Donaho

Visitation for James Clyde Donaho of Natchitoches will be held on Sunday, December 29th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Natchitoches, LA at 10:00 AM. Bishop Benford Slay to officiate. Graveside to follow at Provencal Cemetery in Provencal, LA.

James was born in Houma, LA on August 25th, 1951, to his parents John K. Donaho and Mary Anna Pharriss Donaho. He passed away on Saturday, December 21st, 2024, in Natchitoches, LA at the age of 73. James devoted over 20 years of his life to the Natchitoches Police Department and was a proud graduate of Northwestern St. University. James was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. James’ humor and storytelling will truly be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter; Kimberly Eppler Barrier and husband Way of Jackson, MS, Sons; John Tyler Donaho of Kansas City, MO, Caleb Donaho and wife Nay of Pineville, LA Sister; Charlotte Witherwax and husband Theron of Iowa, LA. Brother; John Donaho of Natchitoches, LA. Grandchildren: Jayda Donaho of Fargo, ND, Emory Donaho of Pineville, LA, and James Tyler Donaho of Minot, ND, and Bronson Barrier of Jackson, MS. Nieces: Kristy Hall Cox, Jessica Donaho, and,Cristal Lynn Donaho Langley and husband Chris, Traci Bois, Sharyl Richardson, Rhonda Bezanis, and Amber Cunningham. Nephews: Dennis Hall, John Donaho, Jr. and wife Randi, Bill Cunningham, and Michiel Liddell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother William (Sonny) Cunningham and wife Shirley, brother George Henry Donaho, and sister-in-law’s Cheryl Lynne Perot Donaho and Beverly Ann Dowden Donaho.
