James Milton Lipford, Jr.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. James Milton Lipford, Jr., will be at 2 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Owens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Saturday, March 16th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Jim, 75 years of age and a resident of Natchez, LA, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019, at his residence with his family by his side.  He was born on December 20, 1943, to James Milton Lipford, Sr. and Ruby Elaine (Morton) Lipford Simmons in Shannon, MS.  He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Gould) Lipford; daughters, Ann Nichols and husband Doug and Sandra Thrasher and husband Howard; grandchildren, Darrell and Daniel Thrasher and Brandon and Taylor Nichols; great-grandchildren, Lillian Quinn Thrasher and Reed Alan Nichols; brothers, Floyd A. Simmons and Steve G. Simmons; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Floyd Simmons, Wayne Gould, Darrell Thrasher, Brandon Nichols, Taylor Nichols, and Howard Thrasher.
