Funeral services for Jason Allen LeVasseur will be at 2:00p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Clemmons. Burial will follow at the American Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on the 18th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Jason or “J. Rock” as his friends might refer to him went to be with Jesus, Tuesday January 14, 2025. Jason was born on March 16, 1976 in Natchitoches, LA. He was a talented artist. He published many poems and articles and created many art projects of Christ, Angels, and animals.
He was preceded in death by his father; Mark Noble LeVasseur, Step Father; Edward Mayfield, Sister; Christina LeVasseur, Grandparents; Allen and Joy Conlay and S. C. and Mattie LeVasseur.
He is survived by his mother; Dorothy Conlay, brother; Sylvian LeVasseur (Jenna) and Josh LeVasseur, sisters; Mattie Cobb, Joy Wiltz, Madeline Mayfield, Shannon Jones (Darrell) and Brittany LeVasseur, Nephews; Tristan VandeGevel, Micheal Rabalais, Christian Kijanski, and Jackson Jones, Nieces; Scarlett Cobb, Christina Kijanski, Lilliana LeVasseur, Hollyn LeVasseur, and Lennox LeVasseur; step mother; Frankie LeVasseur.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Ricky LeVasseur, Dennis LeVasseur, John LeVasseur, Matt Martin, Ian Isgitt, Marc Keedy, Michael Rachal and Mike Kijanski. Honorary pallbearers are Heath Norrid, Darrell Simmons, Scott Ewing and Al Postan.
Jason gave in death, as he gave in life. He was an organ and tissue donor and made it possible for someone else to receive the gift of life through that donation.
