Natchitoches, Louisiana - A service of Christian burial, will be held, for Jennifer Kay Grigsby, beginning at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 21, 2021. The services will be under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, 848 Keyser Avenue, Natchitoches, Louisiana. The Reverend William Hall will be officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, Louisiana at a future date. Jennifer Kay Grigsby, 46, of Coushatta, Louisiana, passed away in Natchitoches, Louisiana on July 17, 2021. Born June 6, 1975, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Lynn Grigsby of Natchitoches, Louisiana; her son, Dustin Kyle Bass of Shreveport, Louisiana; her maternal grandparents, Mick Dubea Jr. and Mary Normand Dubea Thompson, both of Marksville, Louisiana, and her paternal grandparents, Enlow Grigsby and Addie Lou Grigsby of Natchitoches, Louisiana. A resident of Coushatta, Louisiana, Jennifer proudly received a double degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Her degrees included, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting, in the year 2018. Jennifer will be remembered, by family and friends, as a loving, kind, and caring person with a “big heart” who was always willing to help and assist in one’s time of need. Jennifer also lived with a loving commitment to her family. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed the many celebrations spent with her immediate and extended family. Jennifer had a true passion for animals which included her dog, Thor and her farmyard of chickens, rabbits, and ducks. She was also an avid gardener and took pride in watching her flower gardens bloom and vegetable gardens grow. Jennifer leaves many to cherish her memory including, her mother, Pam Dubea Grigsby of Alexandria, Louisiana; daughter, Destiny Alane Vascocu, of Natchitoches, Louisiana; son, Jagger Ty Parker, of Coushatta, Louisiana; sister, Melanie Renee Grigsby; granddaughters, Shelby Lynn and Shirley Marie Vascocu of Natchitoches, Louisiana; nephew, Carter Lynn Grigsby, plus a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins from many regions of the United States.
