A memorial service to honor Jerry’s life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Galbraith Church of God in the Marco community with Bro. Jim Shook officiating. Burial will follow in the Rachal cemetery in the Marco community. Jerry Dean Nugent, 71 years of age and a life-long resident of the Marco community passed away on April 8, 2020. He was born on August 12, 1948, to Litton and Lucille Owens Nugent in Pineville, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Litton and Lucille; father-in-law, James C. Beebe; brother, Litton B. Nugent; sister, Joanna Smith; and grandson's, Evan Lyle Willis "Buggy", and Kenneth Wayne Brossette Jr. "Frog". He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Theresa Beebe Nugent of Marco; children, Wendell Kevin Nugent and wife Lea of Marco; and Beverly Nugent Alwell and husband Derek Jason Alwell of Deville; grandchildren, William Willis, Joseph Lirette, Lauren Nugent, Tiffany Nugent Fee and husband Dalton, Mallory Nugent, Ross Brossette, Hope M. Cole and husband Kevin, Robert Phillips and wife Olivia, and Tanner Alwell; great-grandchildren, Kameryn Willis, Brooklyn Willis, Lauraleigh Nugent, Raeleigh Lirette, Rorie Fee, Alivia Lirette, Wyatt Fee, Riker Fee, Madelynn Cole, Averie Phillips, Annyston Cole, Karlie Phillips, and Hudson Dean Cole; mother-in-law, Frances Beebe; siblings, Leavy Nugent and wife Judy, Steve Nugent and wife Mary, Gail Barham and husband Steve, Lansing Nugent, William C. Nugent, Sharon Gordon, Dana Nugent, and wife Cathy, and Violet Parker and husband Keith. As well as numerous Brother In-Laws, Sister In-laws, Nieces, Nephews, and friends. Early in his life, he worked for the Army Corp. of Engineers, later he worked on Josey Ranch. He was also a farmer for numerous years before he started working in the construction field. He worked for Madden Contractors in Minden, Louisiana, until 2002, when he retired and spent his time hunting, working in his garden, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
