Jesus Cirilo Calderon

Funeral service for Mr. Jesus Cirilo Calderon will be at 11 am Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at New Cedron Baptist Church in Vowells Mill, LA.  Burial will follow at New Cedron Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9 am until 11 am on the 6th at New Cedron Baptist Church located at 227 Parish Road 739, Vowells Mill, LA 71469. Jesus Calderon, 83 years of age, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, in Shreveport, LA.  He was born on July 9, 1934, to Jesus Calderon Velasquez and Iraida Gonzales Porras in Concepcion, Peru.  Jesus was of Incan descent and spent his formative years in the Andes Mountains of Peru.  He immigrated to the United States and was so very proud to obtain his U.S. citizenship.  A carpenter by trade, his specialty was custom cabinetry.  His attention to detail was second to none.  He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Otilia Munos Calderon; a daughter, Nancy Ambrose and husband Max "Ray"; sons, John Calderon and wife Janet, Wayne Calderon and wife Amanda, and Tony Calderon; grandchildren, Ricky Windham, Tiffany Sandy, Ferris Calderon, Dylan Calderon, Niki Calderon, Dakota Calderon, Shelby Calderon, David Calderon, and Christopher Jackson Calderon; great-grandchildren, Emily Long, Melanie Windham, Lexie Sandy, Elliott Sandy, and Scarlett Guttman; a sister; a brother; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Dollie Faye Calderon; his parents, two sisters and a brother.
