Jewel Marie Holland, a dedicated nurse who devoted over 30 years to caring for others, passed away on March 29, 2024, in Provencal, Louisiana. She was born on February 7, 1957, in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Throughout her life, Jewel found fulfillment in her career as a nurse, touching the lives of many with her compassion and expertise. Her commitment to healthcare left a lasting impact on those she cared for and worked alongside.
Outside of her professional life, Jewel had a passion for tending to her yard. She took great joy in ensuring it was always beautifully maintained, reflecting her attention to detail and love for nature. She especially loved animals including her two dogs and her horses.
Jewel Marie Holland will be remembered fondly by her sisters, Willie Mae Dix and Lonette Allen, along with several nieces and nephews. She shared special bonds with her deceased family members: parents, Woodrow Ramon Holland and Eula Gibson Holland, sisters, Audrey Huff, Lillie Hubes, Geneva Wimberly, brother, Lonnie Holland, and dear friend and confidant, Calvin Coolidge Campbell.
A visitation will be held on April 4, 2024, at New Hope Church of Provencal, located at 140 Bellwood Street, Provencal, LA 71468, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location at 10:30 AM with Bro. Tony Moran officiating. Jewel will be laid to rest at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Vowells Mill.
