Jimmy A. Reeve was born on December 16, 1939, in Heflin, Louisiana to John and Minnie Reeve, and he was the youngest of fourteen children. He departed this life on February 28, 2025, in Marthaville, Louisiana, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Jimmy dedicated over 30 years of his career to AT&T, retiring in 1996. His professional life is a testament to his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment. A man who loved the outdoors, he spent countless hours hunting and fishing and working diligently in his garden. Above all, Jimmy cherished the moments spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary "Cookie" Reeve, and his children: Mike Reeve, Callie Lutterman and her husband Jerry, and James Reeve. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Courtney Reeve Giddens, Caleb Reeve, Zack Reeve, Steven Lutterman, Tyler Reeve and his wife Haley, Christopher Lutterman, and Matthew Lutterman. Additionally, his sister, Bonnie Allgood, remains to remember the bond they shared. He is also survived by additional family members who include Charlie Wagley, Bennie Rhodes, Sue Gaddis, Meg Welch, Gloria Goldsby, and numerous nieces and nephews, who he thought the world of.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie Reeve.
Visitation will be held at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place the following day, March 5, 2025, at Beulah Methodist Church in Marthaville at 10:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 8:30 AM until service time on Wednesday at Beulah Methodist Church. Interment will follow the funeral at Beulah Methodist Cemetery.
Jimmy A. Reeve's spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew him, embodying the love and kindness he shared throughout his life.
