Jo Evelyn Dison Honeycutt passed away on January 24, 2019, and she is now in the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Alton Dison; husband, Clayton Honeycutt; youngest son, Stacy Luke Honeycutt; and a grandson, Justin Lane Wilson. Jo is survived by a sister, Billie Marie Maggio and husband John; brother, Danny Dison and wife Debra; children, Cody Honeycutt and wife Terri, Lorri Honeycutt; granddaughter, Mary Beth Harry; and great-grandchildren, Caden and Taylor. Jo enjoyed playing music with family and friends. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Masters in English from Northwestern State University. Jo enjoyed composing music, writing poetry, researching family genealogy, and restoring cemeteries. She always cherished the time of meeting Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Johnny Horton during the Louisiana Hayride, when rock and roll was in its infancy. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches with Rev. Doug deGraffenreid officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 11 am at the First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Ed Breedlove, Mike Breedlove, Chris Dison, John Maggio, Jr., Fair Hyams, Robert Breedlove, and Troy Harry. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Breedlove and David Wayne Breedlove.
