Joseph Numa Roge', Jr.

Joseph Numa Roge', Jr., age 77, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024, at his home in McAllen, TX surrounded by his family. "Joe" was born on March 3, 1947, to Vada (Rachal) and Joseph Roge', Sr. in Natchitoches, LA.
Joseph is survived by his wife Vickie of the home, daughter Julie of Louisiana, step-daughters Amanda Roge' (Richard) Garcia, Elizabeth Jaramillo, Galveston, TX, Aimee (Mark) Phillips, Madagascar, Allison (James) Birket, Fort Scott, KS. One Sister, Katherine "Kathy" (Don) Dykes of Natchitoches, LA and four half-siblings. Three nieces, Stephanie, Dana, and Donna. "Pappa Joe" as he was known to his seven grandchildren was dearly loved and will be remembered with love and laughter.
Joe received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from UT Tyler, Tyler TX in 1980 and his MBA in 1992. He completed his Doctorate in Business Administration (Economics and Quantitative Analysis) in 1995 from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA.
Joe taught CIS Students from 1995 to 1998 at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. He taught BSAT and MBA students at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1998 to 2001, and taught CIS and MBA students at The University of Texas Pan American (now UTRGV) from 2001 to retirement in 2012. His passion for learning, or academic research, and his motivation for student success will fondly remembered.
A public visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 2-4 pm at Kreidler Funeral Home, McAllen, TX.
Visitation for Family and Friends will be held from Noon to 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Graveside will be at 2:00 pm at Memory Lawn Cemetery, Natchitoches, LA.

Joe, as he preferred to be called, will be dearly missed by his loved ones. Rest in peace, our Precious Joe.
