Judy Diane Sepulvado Fair

Judy Diane Sepulvado Fair, loving wife, mother and Nana, died on January 16, 2021 after a three-week battle with COVID-19. Judy was born in Natchitoches, LA on May 29th, 1951 to Hilton and Lois Sepulvado, joining three older brothers and two sisters. She was raised in the Provencal Community and graduated from Provencal High School in 1969. Later, Judy returned to pursue her degree in Nursing at Louisiana Technical College. She would spend the rest of her time until retirement working for many years as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and then as a Home Health nurse. Judy loved the profession of nursing and felt honored to have the experience of welcoming new life and caring for newborns as well as providing loving, compassionate care for those needing it towards the end of their life. Judy married Bobby Clinton Fair on November 2nd, 1975 and spent 45 years raising their blended family of seven children. Together they enjoyed being Nana and Papaw to their six grandchildren. Judy loved being a grandmother and shared her love of gardening, fishing and tradition with her grandchildren. She left them with memories of her storytelling, hugs and the comfort of knowing that she told them everyday how much she loved them. Nana was the first person called when any of her children or grandchildren were unwell and she knew just what to do to make them feel better. Judy made sure that her family never forgot the importance of family and tradition and her Bible is full of notes and dates of every significant and tiny event – from marriages to deaths, births to graduations and grandchildren’s milestones such as first steps and school events. Her grandson Eli, when visiting her for the last time in the hospital, hugged her tightly and told her “you have been the best Nana a boy could hope for”. That statement summed up what Judy meant to her grandchildren and was what she was most proud of in life - being a Nana. Judy is survived by her husband Bobby C. Fair, sister Ruth Sepulvado Kay of Provencal, daughters Stephanie Dyjack and son-in -law Bruce Dyjack of Natchitoches and Shanna DuBose and son-in-law Dustin DuBose of Spring, TX, stepchildren Melise Fair Williams and husband Brad of Natchitoches, Tona Fair Ford and husband Jeff of Natchitoches and Clay Fair of Alvin, TX, grandchildren Eli Dyjack, Landon DuBose, Hali Moore, Daniel Harris, Jeffrey Ford and McKenna Emmott. Many beloved nieces and nephews are left with wonderful memories of their “Aunt JuJu”. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Hilton and Lois Sepulvado, brothers Herbert, Teddy and Arthur Sepulvado, sister Nita Ford, stepson Tracy Fair and stepdaughter Leah Harris. An important part of Judy’s life was her time spent with the Sewing Ladies at The Cottage at Old Bethel Baptist Church. She spent her days sewing, quilting, laughing and sharing as part of their work with Women’s Missionary Union. The Sewing Ladies lovingly made quilts, blankets and other items for patients in hospitals, nursing homes and St. Jude’s. With every stich sewn, there were prayers being said for those in need. Judy found such friendship and love from the members of The Cottage. A celebration of her life with family and friends will be held later in the spring or summer when it is safe to gather again. The family expresses their gratitude to the medical staff at Willis Knighton Pierremont and the Intensive Specialty Hospital in Bossier that provided such excellent and compassionate care.
