A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth Eugene Neuhauser will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9,2023 at The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Irion St. Romain serving as celebrant. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12,2023 at Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn, TX under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Ken was born on August 18, 1935 to Everett John and Mary Margaret Neuhauser in Newton, KS. After graduation from High School, he joined the Army. He was a helicopter pilot and served two tours in Vietnam. After his discharge from the service, he trained other pilots on flying helicopters. He worked for a company flying offshore workers to and from their oil rig. He owned and operated Country Lanes Bowling Center for 37 years. Other than bowling he loved fishing, golf and other sports. He was a member of the choir at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Guynis Neuhauser; daughters, Teresa Arafat and Mary Ellen Cox (Bobbie); his five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Stanley Flenniken, Tommy Vercher, Steve Taylor, Dean Lemoine, John Wynn and Chad Deranger. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Roque, John Scott and Ray Ponthieux.
The family expresses a sincere, thank you of appreciation to Ray and Gwen Ponthieux, Carol Holland and Stanley Flenniken for their care and support.
