A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Linda Spillman Franz will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the St. Anne Chapel on Old River with Father Charlie Ray serving as celebrant. Linda, 75 years of age and a past resident of Robeline, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 31, 1943, to James Ellis Spillman and Beatrice Thomasee Spillman in Cloutierville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Sneed, Jr., Kevin Sneed, and Brent Franz; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Anita Perkins; and her best friend who was just as much a sister, Vernell Ferrier. The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Natchitoches for the excellent care and concern they administered to Linda in her time of need. Also a heartfelt thank you to Father Charlie Ray for bringing Linda back completely to her Catholic faith allowing her to glow and be at peace; and, Chaplain Buster Jordan for visits, prayers, playing his guitar, and singing which always put a smile on her face. To those who prayed, visited, called, texted, sent cards, performed household chores, and furnished meals, our sincere gratitude.Memorial donations in Linda’s name may be made to the St. Anne Catholic Church Chapel (Old River) or the charity of your choice.
