A Mass of Christian Burial for Lloyd David Rachal will be at 11 am on Friday, July 27, 2018, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevelle, LA. Entombment in the St. Augustine Mausoleum will follow the Mass. The family will receive friends from 9 am until 11 am on Friday the 27th at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10:30 am. Lloyd David Rachal was born in Cloutierville, LA to John and Eva Gallion Rachal on October 1, 1927. He passed from this life and received his eternal reward on July 24, 2018 at the age of 90. The Rachal family moved to Cane River in 1935. Lloyd David was the youngest of ten children. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Gallion Rachal; his sisters, Jeanette Rachal Priestly, Mary Rachal Beaudion, Henriette Rachal Hayes, Ruby Rachal LaCour, and Annie Dell Rachal Severin; his brothers, Henry Rachal, Ellis Rachal, Floyd Rachal, and Anthony G. Rachal. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Joyce Rachal; god children, Nicholas Fred Severin and Rose Rachal Brown; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Lloyd was a cowboy most of his life and worked as an overseer of the Cohen and Magnolia Plantations. He always owned livestock on his own place and was a very hard worker his entire life. He was a devout Catholic and was steadfast in his faith. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and served as an usher at St. Augustine Catholic Church for many years.
