Lucian Scott Carter entered into this life on August 2, 1967 to Jerry Donald Carter and Sybil Diane Carter and left this life to be with his Lord and Savior on November 30th, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Donald Carter; brother, Jerry Donald Carter, II; paternal grandparents, Orral Heartwig and Wilma Heartwig; and maternal grandparents, Lucian Larsh and Vera Bennitt. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend for 37 ½ years, Amy Carter; three children, Amy Bass and fiancé Dewey of Many, LA, Lucian Scott Carter II and wife Christy of Marthaville, LA, and Holly Carter and fiancé Michael of Robeline, LA; mother, Sybil Carter of Natchitoches, LA, brothers, Kris Carter of Scranton, AR and Nathaniel Carter and wife Hazel of Sulphur, LA; sister-in-law, Kim Carter of Many, LA; close friend, Keith Berry of Natchitoches, LA; and a dear uncle, James Berry and wife Debbie (who shared a many “spur of the moment” road trips). He was blessed with 11 grandchildren who were his world and his greatest joy; as well as a host of family, friends and a church family he greatly loved. Luc was deeply involved in the lives of his children. He truly lived his life large. He enjoyed being a Little League baseball coach for 30 years, driving race cars for 13 years, being a member of the Lone Wolf Hunting Club for over 20 years, and a member of the Security Team at The Life Church. Luc enjoyed all his activities while working and being an excellent provider for his family. But above all, his most treasured activity was worshiping Jesus with his highest praise, ”You are worthy!” He will be dearly missed but we take comfort in knowing we will be reunited with him in Heaven one day. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at The Life Church in Many, LA with Pastor Jim Manning officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 3rd from 5 pm until 9 pm at The Life Church located at 30373 Highway 171, Many, LA 71449. In lieu of floral contributions, donations in Luc’s name may be made to The Legacy Fund of The Life Church by visiting https://lifers.churchcenter.com/giving?open-in-church-center-modal=true.
