Ludie Viola Bolton Sparks of Deer Park, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family in Houston, TX, at the age of 88. She was born July 5, 1929, to Frank & Lela Bolton in Mora, Louisiana. She lived a life full of Christian service. In addition to caring for her family, she was involved in various ministries within the church including teaching Sunday School and serving as church treasurer and board member. Ludie is widely remembered for her hospitality by hosting many families in her home and graciously making meals for friends, family, and whoever her husband brought home on a moments notice. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clinton Harvey Sparks, a daughter-in-law, Pat Sparks, a great-grandson, Colton Childers; her parents, 6 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her sons: Clint Sparks and wife Paula of Spring, TX; Ralph Sparks and wife Jean of St. John, IN; Gary Sparks and wife Shirley of Deer Park, TX, and daughter Karen Marze and husband Steve of Humble, TX, grandchildren: Teresa (Brynn) Childers; John (Jamie) Sparks; Katie (Jordan) Cashion; Paul Sparks; BJ Sparks; Michael Sparks; Deann Saxton; Heather (Nathan) Wooley; Lori (David) Tanner; Rachel (Harrison) Sanders, great grandchildren: Caden Cashion; Alexis Childers; Brett Saxton; Corbin Cashion; Raegan Tanner; Graham Wooley; Luke Tanner, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, March 18, 2018. There will be a time for visitation from 1:00-3:00 pm preceding the funeral. Interment will be at Bellwood Shady Grove Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. A memorial service will be held at Faithbridge Church in Deer Park, TX on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 7 pm.
