L'vina LaCaze Coutee

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. L'vina LaCaze Coutee will be at 11 am Saturday, May 5, 2018, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevelle with Father Charlie Ray serving as celebrant.  Burial will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery in Chopin, LA.  The family will receive friends on Friday, May 4th from 5 pm until 8 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. L'vina, 85 years of age and a past resident of Chopin, passed away in Longview, TX on April 26, 2018.  She was born on October 8, 1932, to Phillip LaCaze, Sr.  and Elma Beebe LaCaze in Chopin, LA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Barney Coutee; and siblings, Pearline Wise and Phillip LaCaze, Jr.  She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Suzanne Coutee, Pamela Ann Blevins, and Cheryl Diane Castner; a granddaughter, Hollie Renee Strickland; great-grandchild, Saylor Strickland; and her siblings, El LaCaze, Anna Mae Walker, and Sue Johnson.
