Margo Haase

Memorial Mass for Margaret L. Haase (Margo) will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, November 19, 2022, at St. Charles Borromeo Chapel in Bermuda, La. with Rev. Louis Sklar officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm in Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. Margo was born on January 21, 1952, to J. Roy and Eleanor Haase in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Margo was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Thomas Alfred Haase. She is survived by her sister Nancy Haase Jehn; nieces, Sarah Upchurch and Charlotte Plummer; great-niece, Grace Plummer; and great-nephew, William Plummer. Margo graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge in 1970 and then attended Northwestern State University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She taught school for many years, at both St Mary's Catholic School as well as in the Natchitoches Parish Public School system where she eventually retired from Natchitoches Central High School in 2021. Margo had many loves in her life. She loved teaching her students and watching their excitement as they grew and learned the many subjects she taught. She also loved teaching herself to play guitar and write the many songs that she loved playing for anyone who had time to listen. Margo's biggest love however, was her animals. She had many cats and dogs throughout the years, which she always called her kids. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals (FAUN), P.O.
