A memorial mass for Mark Wayne Brosset, Sr. will be at 11 am Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA. He will be laid to rest between his son, Mark Brosset, Jr. and his first wife Mathilde in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Cloutierville after the mass. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service on Saturday the 14th at St. John the Baptist. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10:30 am. On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, after several long months Mark lost his battle to cancer. He passed away peacefully at home with family and loved ones by his side. Mark was proceeded in death by Mathilde Trishler Brosset, wife of 15 years, Delilah Sewell Brosset wife of 36 years, son Mark Wayne Brosset, Jr., Father Joseph F. Brosset, Mother Eva Moreau Brosset, sister Mary Jo Adams, grandson Matthew Brosset, and brother-in-law Lawrence (Cokey) Carnahan. He leaves behind one son Michael Brosset (wife Dedrie), 2 daughters Monique Brosset (fiance Clint), Amanda Brosset. One brother, Lester (Buddy) Brosset (wife Marrdie), one sister Betty Carnahan. Three grandchildren, Summer (Nikie) Brosset, Travis James(wife Britta), Madison Brosset-Freeman, four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Jadyn, MJ, and Alyssa. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. Mark was an educator and coach for many years at Cloutierville High/Elementary School. He loved hunting, fishing and especially gardening. He always had an abundance of fresh vegetables to share with family, friends, and neighbors which he loved to do. Sometimes life is a long row to hoe just like his planting and harvesting. There is always a special place for us to meet again when our growing season has ended.
