Mark Anthony Bynog, age 72, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at his home in Shreveport, LA, from natural causes. Born to Donald Joseph and Mary Agnes Bynog in Natchitoches Parish on September 23, 1949, Mark attended St. Mary’s High School, graduating in 1967. After serving in the United States Air Force, he received a degree in accounting from Northwestern State University and soon began working as an auditor for the Louisiana Department of Revenue. Following his retirement in 2006, he enjoyed playing chess, spending time with his friends and family, and eating lots of great Louisiana food. In 2021, he relocated from Natchitoches to Shreveport, where his devoted nieces and their families provided a loving environment for his final years. He is survived by daughter Jennifer Bynog Greene and her husband, Jason Greene, of Jonesboro, AR, and son David Michael Bynog, of Houston, TX. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Patrick Greene, of Kuna, ID; Daniel Greene, and Amanda Greene, both of Jonesboro, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Wanda Thomas Bynog; his sister, Margaret Theresa McCary; and his brother, George Bynog. A visitation will be held at 9:30 am Saturday, July 16th prior to the 11:00 am funeral service at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment at L. C. Weaver Memorial (Campti United Baptist Church) Cemetery following. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully welcomes donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
