A celebration of Life will be from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, April 16 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mary was born April 20, 1930, in Alexandria and passed from this life April 6, 2022, in West Monroe, at the age of 91. She was an administrative assistant for the state, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Clark Averett; daughter, Stephanie Averett Triplet; father, James Watson; mother, Flora Brown Watson; brothers, James T. Watson and Ralph Watson; sisters, Juanita Hundley, Lucille LaFitte, Shirley Brumley and Barbara Edmondson. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Kim Hardee and husband Don, Teri Freer and husband Rand, and Dawn Averett; son, Clark Averett and wife Cindy; brothers, Billy Watson and David Watson; and sister, Cheryl Sparger. Also left to cherish her memories are 13 grandchildren, Lyndsey Mitchell, Lee Hardee, Faith Meyer, Alex Hardee, Stephon Freer, Grace Cash, Waymon Hesser, Jeffery Hesser, Ryan Gibson, Brittany Averett, Aaron Averett, Daniel Neathery and Kyle Triplet; and 16 great-grandchildren.
