Funeral services for Mrs. Maybell Rachal Carter will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Wade Merrill officiating. Entombment will follow at Cloutierville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday February 1st at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Maybell, 92 years of age and a long-time resident of Cloutierville, passed away on Saturday, January 29th in Natchitoches. LA. She was born on December 29, 1929 to John Luddy Rachal and Zaline Roberson Rachal in Lena, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Carter; and siblings, John L. Rachal, Aline Prothro, Paul Rachal, Blanche Conn and Shirley Ann Rachal. She is survived by her children, Charles Larry Carter and wife Evelyn, Bobby Carter and wife Rhonda, Patricia Rachal and husband David, Sherman Carter, Dennis Carter and wife Karla, and Michael Carter and wife Teri; and siblings, Frances Beebe and Jean Hall. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Dale Carter, Lane Carter, Clint Carter, Herman Rachal, Dylan Carter, and Ernest Carter. Honorary pallbearer will be Christian Carter.
