Mac Neal Metoyer

A Mass of Christian burial  Mac Neal Metoyer will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:3o am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Breville, Louisiana with Father William Gearheard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from  6 P.M. until 8 P. M. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral with the Rosary beginning at 7 P.M.

Mr. Metoyer, 84 years of age, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born on January 23, 1939 to the late McNeal Metoyer and Louise (Conant) Metoyer in Melrose, LA. Mr. Metoyer worked for Republic Motion Pictures in the film editing department prior to his retirement in 2000. He relocated to Hobbs, NM and then, most recently, to Marshall, TX.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Jarriet Wayne Metoyer and Edward Darnell Metoyer; his siblings, Hazel Beaudoin, Mattie Metoyer, and Anthony Metoyer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife. Theresa Metoyer; his children Wanda (Harry) Coutee of North Hollywood, CA, Louis (Shelly) Rachal of Marshall, TX, Keith (Elaine) Rachal of Santa Fe Springs, CA, and Teri (Cesar) Garcia of Burbank, CA, his 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Metoyer will forever be remembered for his charming personality and quick wit as well as his love for fishing and old westerns.
