Funeral services for Mrs. Melissa Fredericks will be Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Clear Lake Cemetery in Goldonna, LA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Friday, August 7, 2020. Mrs. Melissa Fredericks was born on November 29, 1948 in Natchitoches, LA and passed away on August 1, 2020. She was 71 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Fredericks, Jr., a daughter, Anna Laura Fredericks, her parents, Ernest and Bernadean Brown, and 2 brothers, Alfred (Ernie) Brown and Marvin Lee Brown. She is survived by her daughter Tina Fredericks of Natchitoches, LA, son, Dale Fredericks of Natchitoches, LA, adopted son, Rickey Trichel and adopted daughter, Regina Hinds, both of Natchitoches; adopted granddaughter, Heather Hinds; and one brother, Arthur Roy Brown and his wife Joy, of Goldonna, LA. She had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be David Carter, Thomas Norman, Dennis "Beaux" Gourdon, Chris "Country" Keith, Heath Carter, Josh Phillips, Floyd Phillips, and Michael Gourdon. Honorary pallbearer will be Heather Carter. She never met a stranger and loved to talk.
