Michael Ballard Kearney

A service to honor the life of Mr. Michael B. Kearney will begin at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Blake DeShautelle reciting the Holy Rosary, followed by a eulogy and Vigil Service.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 3rd at Blanchard-St. Denis. Michael, age 75, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018, in Shreveport, LA.  He was born on May 15, 1943 in Ontario, CA to Charles and Louise Kearney.  Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran.  He retired from the Department of Defense after 45 years of service to his country.  His career with the military provided him the opportunity to live many places around the world, but upon retirement decided to move to Natchitoches with his wife, Isabelita.  He enjoyed living on Cane River and playing golf with friends.   He will be missed but always remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Isabelita Lopez Kearney; sons, Todd Kearney and wife Rusty, James Kearney and wife Vivian, and Anthony Kearney; a step-daughter, Ysabelle Kim DeLeon Morgan and husband Will; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer and Alex Patrick; as well as 2 great grandchildren.
