Michael Lane McCain

Michael "Mike" McCain, 74, passed away on September 24th, 2024 in Shreveport, LA.

Mike was born to C.L. and Grace Hernadez McCain in Natchitoches on August 13th, 1950. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and is a graduate of Northwestern State University. He worked in Process Control and Instrumentation for 42 years at the paper mill in Campti,LA. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Anthony's. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his much loved wife, Wanda Ballard McCain. He is survived by his brother Lynn McCain of Natchitoches,LA.; his son John McCain and wife Kelli of Gloster,LA, his grandsons Parker McCain, Dylan McCain and Hayden McCain of Gloster as well as two bonus grandchildren, Kori Hendrix of Gloster and AJ Hendrix of Overton, TX.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony's in Natchitoches, LA. from 9:00 a.m. until 9:40 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by Very Rev. John O'Brien, VF at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Right of Christian Burial at Fern Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in Mike's name at St. Anthony's for their CCD and Youth Education program.
