Misty Brown Hammon

Funeral service for Misty Brown Hammon will be at 2 pm on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Don Woodard officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice, LA.  The family will receive friends after 11 am on Monday the 3rd at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.  After the committal service at the cemetery, the family is inviting friends to a reception at 1019 LA HWY 1226, Natchitoches (near Black Lake), LA 71457. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include John "Catfish" Philyaw, Ray Hammon, Christopher Turner, Gerald Williams, Kenny Hammon, T J Abbott, Weylon Johnson, and Cole Harvey. Misty, 35 years of age and a resident of Arcadia, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019.  She was born on March 27, 1984, in Alexandria, LA to Wayne and Connie Sue (Theall) Brown.  Misty was truly a free spirit and had a feisty and sassy side about her but she also had the biggest heart and most beautiful soul of anyone around.  She always tried to make the best of every situation and will forever be in our hearts.  She is survived by her husband, Mark Hammon; father, Wayne Brown and wife Gwen; step-children she loved like her own, Mark Ebarb, Amanda Sharpley, Miranda Merritt, and Brittany Hammon; a sister; a brother, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family and friends.  She also leaves her beloved her “fur-babies”, Sara, Harley, Buddy, Piper, Phoebe, and Ivy.
