Nancy Jo Rhodes

 On Sunday, February 9, 2025, Nancy Rhodes, age 77, entered into eternal rest due to a lengthy illness. She was born on February 12, 1947, in Clarksville Tennessee to Buford and Mable McCoy. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. 

 Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, 848 Keyser Avenue, Natchitoches, La. Service will follow visitation at 6:00 p.m., with Bob Miller officiating.

 Known as “Maw Maw” to her immediate and extended family, her favorite past time was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her family beyond measure and was always willing to lend a helping hand. 

 She is survived by her two daughters, Amy Rhodes (Gary Foshee) and Dana Breedlove (Darrell), grandchildren, Leslie (Nikki) Rachal (Codie Fleming), Jeffery (Wayne) Rachal (Anna), Jordan Johnson, Shelby Breedlove (Jon Waguespack) and Jeremy Breedlove, great grandchildren Cheyenne Martin, Charlotte Fleming, Ben Fleming, Daniel Rachal, Luke Rachal and Jake Rachal. Also left to cherish her memory are two sisters, Donna Smith (Ron), Wanda Lavell, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 She is preceded in death by her father, Buford McCoy, mother, Mable McCoy, daughter, JoAnn Smith, son, James Smith and brother-in-law, Lanny Lavell. 

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ICU staff and Doctors of Willis Knighton North, Shreveport, LA, staff of Courtyard of Natchitoches and ICU staff and Doctors of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center for the exceptional care given to our mother during her illness.
