Olan Gerald Wilkerson

Funeral service for Mr. Olan Wilkerson will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Lane officiating. Burial at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Natchitoches will follow. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time on the Saturday the 18th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Olan, 91 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away June 16, 2022. He was born on July 21, 1930 to Matthew Hiram Wilkerson and Leola Patch Wilkerson in Natchitoches, LA. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Velma Jeter, Averl Wilkerson, and Elve Cooper; and 6 brothers, Vester Wilkerson, Arlie Wilkerson, Elwood Wilkerson, Orie Wilkerson, Otis Wilkerson and J.C. Wilkerson. Olan was a life-long member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Natchitoches. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Myrtle Eaves Wilkerson; sons, Wade Wilkerson and Clint Wilkerson; grandchildren, Melissa Wilkerson, Michelle Wilkerson, Katie Smith and Matt Taunton; as well as several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mark Wilkerson, Phillip Wilkerson, Kirby Moreau, Mike Breedlove, John Ziemba, and Kyle Yocum.
