Patsy E Jeter

The funeral service celebrating the life of Patsy E. Jeter, 86, will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Bruce Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. Visitation from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm will precede the funeral on Saturday. Patsy E. Jeter was born in Shreveport, raised in Pineville, but spent her entire adult life as a resident of Natchitoches, LA. She was employed for 14 years as a secretary while raising two children, with her husband, Earl. She expressed her creativity through many hobbies, including painting, sewing, quilting, and the making and collecting of porcelain dolls. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was actively involved with her Sunday school class as well as singing in the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Earl T. Jeter, her parents Jules C. and Clothilde Grandpierre, and her brother Jules A. Grandpierre. She is survived by her two children, daughter, Cheryl Choate and her husband Wayne; and son Gary Jeter and his wife Jan; three grandchildren, Amy Dill and husband Rob, Chris Choate and wife Becca, and Adam Jeter; and four great-grandchildren, Alana and Aiden Dill, and Gavin and Annie Choate. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Chris Choate, Rob Dill, Adam Jeter, and members of her church. Close family friend, Jett Houston Cook, will serve as honorary pallbearer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Patsy be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 527 Howard Street, Natchitoches, LA. 71457.
