Born October 2, 1931, and died January 29, 2025. She grew up in Campti, Louisiana and moved to Baton Rouge with her mother Myrtle and sister Fran, who preceded her in death, where she lived most of her life. Peggy was very active in her beloved church, Istrouma Baptist, teaching Sunday school and volunteering for Trash and Treasure. She loved her LSU Tigers and followed them even when she moved to Iowa (especially when the Tiger women beat Iowa in the championship). While in Iowa, we took her to the John Wayne Museum, she knew every movie and could recite facts about the actors that even the workers didn’t know. She is loved and will be greatly missed.
A graveside ceremony will be held Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 p.m. in the Coulee Bethel Baptist Cemetery outside of Campti. In lieu of flowers, donate to your favorite charity.
