Pera Sophie Knopp Oehler

Graveside service for Mrs. Pera Oehler will be held at 9 am on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Central Cemetery in Robeline, LA.

Pera Sophie (Knopp) Oehler was born on October 4, 1927 to Arthur A. Knopp and Ida Klein Knopp in Fredricksburg, TX.  She passed away on July 5, 2023 in Natchitoches, LA at the age of 95.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ida Knopp; husband, William Edwin Oehler; daughter, Debra Goewe; a brother, Arthur Knopp; and  sister-in-law, Betty Crenwelge and Inez Knopp.

She is survived by a sister, Beatrice Curtis; a brother, David Crenwelge; a grandson, Wayne Dillard; a niece who considered her to be a second mom, Joana Wyatt (Chuck); other nieces, Tabatha Honeycutt (Kevin), Cheryl Cummings (Marty), Sandra McDonald (Paul) and Melanie Porter (Tommy); great nieces, Abbie and Lauren, great-great nieces,  Stella and Savannah; great nephew, Jackie Colston (Megan);  as well as special friends, Keith and Lisa Crenwelge and Carrie Baethge. 

She loved animals, especially all the cats she took care of over the many years.  Pera enjoyed the outdoors especially gardening and growing beautiful flowers or even if it was just sitting on the porch admiring the hummingbirds and birds she would feed.  Most importantly, she loved the Lord and we know we will see her again one day in heaven.
