R G Horton

A service to honor the life of Mr. R G Horton will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery in Flora, LA. The family will receive friends from 9 am until 11 am on the 5th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Donald Horton, Sebastian Rachal, Leroy Norris, Austin Blaine Horton, Tristen Wayne Horton and Aaron Kade Poche’. R G was born on December 30, 1944 and passed away on June 30, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ethel Horton; brothers, Albert Horton, C C Horton, George Horton, Sr. and his wife Jackie; sisters, Alaine Thompson and her husband Don, Charlene Horton, and Shirlene Megason. He is survived by his wife Krystyna Horton; a daughter, Tina Rachal and husband Sebastian Rachal; a son, Donald Wayne Horton; grandsons, Austin Blaine Horton and Tristen Wayne Horton; a step grandson, Aaron Kade Poche’; three great granddaughters, Adelyn Grace Horton, Aubrey Blaine Horton and Amelia Jase Horton; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. R G proudly served in the Louisiana National Guard in 1967. He was a route sales representative for Tom’s Peanut, Borden’s Milk, and Wonder Bread. He ultimately retired from Builder’s Supply as a concrete truck driver, a job he truly loved. After retirement, he worked for another 10 years at the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and squirrel hunting. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
