Robert Wesley Thomas

Robert Wesley Thomas was born on October 6, 1947 to John Wesley and Annie Virginia Martin Thomas in Shreveport, LA.  He passed away on January 19, 2024 in Shreveport, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Neitte Thomas; one brother, Billy Thomas and wife Phyllis;  four sisters, Elizabeth Liner, Doris Winn, Hazel Holloway and her husband Elwyn, and Sarah Thomas; two step-sons, Robert Pridgen, III and Steven Pridgen; and one step-grandson, Logan Pridgen.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jessica Leigh Thomas Ayres; and one sister, Ethel Marie Tate.

Robert was a graduate of Natchitoches High School, and served his country in the Air Force after graduation.   After his time in the military, he worked for and retired from Bell South running phone lines and installing home phones.  Robert was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Natchitoches.  He had a kind and giving spirit and always had a mischievous smile on his face.

A memorial service for Robert will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
