A memorial service to celebrate the life of Roy Burton Abrams will be held at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on January 19, 2019. Roy Burton Abrams, 46 years of age, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019, in Beaumont, TX after battling a lengthy illness. He was born on February 27, 1972, to Jessie Abrams, Sr. and Darlene Cortez. He is preceded in death by his parents. Roy was born in Texas City, TX; his family then moved to Leesville, LA where Roy graduated from Pickering High School in 1990. Not long after graduating high school Roy decided he would move to Natchitoches, LA where he met many new friends and made memories to be cherished for a lifetime. Roy was a very talented carpenter and could build almost anything someone asked him too. Roy had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. He was a loving father, brother, son, grandfather, and uncle; he will be missed dearly by family and friends. He is survived by his children Melissa Owen (husband Colton), Coleton Goff, and Kamron Abrams; sister Julie Boswell (husband Joe), brother Jessie Abrams, Jr., sister Laurie Francis, and brother Tuxie Peoples, 2 beautiful granddaughters Kathy Goff and Chloe Renee Owen, also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to everyone for all the prayers at this time of need and also for the donations because without them none of this would have been complete.
