Funeral services for Mr. Martin Eugene Clarke will be held at 11 am Thursday April 1st in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis with Pastor Ellis Newman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time on April 1st at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Lovingly known to all as Sammy, he passed away on March 29, 2021 at his home in Natchitoches. He was born on October 8, 1938 to Leroy and Suzzie Cale Clarke in Lawton, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents. Sammy proudly served in U.S. Army and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1976 after 20 years of service to his country. He is survived by his daughters, Pat Bolen and Sue Hays; sons, Ernie Clarke and Eddie Clarke; sister, Eva Wahlen; and a brother, Chuck Clarke; numerous grandchildren; and a dear friend and caregiver, Michele Winn.
