Sandra Kay Casey

Sandra Kay Casey was born in Marshall, TX to Lonnie Dee Richard and Mary Ernestine Richardson on May 2, 1942.  She passed away peacefully in her home on Cane River from a lengthy illness on March 7, 2024.

Sandra was a lifelong resident of Natchitoches since 1968 where she moved to with her husband Lonnie Casey to open a new Brookshires store, and has been here ever since.  She made lots of close friends and we truly appreciate all of them.

She was a homemaker and loved crafts and decorating.  She loved her flowers and gardening.  She also loved dachshunds and an occasional trip to the casinos.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and 1 grandchild.  She leaves behind 1 brother, Ronnie Richardson and 1 sister, Anne Grisham, both of Texas.  She also leaves behind 1 son, Mike Casey; 1 daughter, Lisa Casey and partner, Rickey Watson; 2 grandsons, Drew Abraham from Colorado, and Dustin Steadman, from Tennessee; 2 great-grandsons, Landon and Isaiah Steadman; and many, many friends.   She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all from Texas.
